Not only are some private schools terminating the services of female teachers after the end of the school year, thus stopping their social security subscription, with the intention of reappointing them at the beginning of the new school year, but the Ministry of Education is also doing the same with female extracurricular education teachers. The Ministry has begun to separate these teachers, especially those working in Syrian refugee schools, and has stopped their salaries as of the beginning of July, followed by stopping their social security subscription. Thus, female extracurricular education teachers in Ministry of Education schools are exposed to the same violation of their rights that many female private school teachers are exposed to, as they lose their wages for the next two or three months, and they also lose the opportunity to continue their social security subscription as a social protection umbrella. They do not enjoy any right to an annual leave, even for one day, and they do not even have the right to paid maternity leave..!!!
It is unfortunate what is happening, and I do not know why the Ministry has been doing this for more than seven years, knowing that this act constitutes a violation of the rights of female teachers, and I do not know how the Ministry demands that private school owners keep female teachers with them for a period of (12) months with pay, covered by insurance, at a time when the Ministry is violating this direction and cutting the wages of its additional education teachers..?!
Who would accept this, and why do you, Ministry of Education, do this? Why aren't these teachers given permanent positions like other teachers in the ministry? Why are the relevant government agencies, human rights organizations, the National Center for Human Rights, and the Social Security Institution silent about what is happening to these teachers and the injustice they are subjected to?
The Social Security Corporation must refuse to stop the subscription of any additional education teacher during the summer vacation, and must maintain her subscription throughout the year for a period of (12) months, similar to what it is supposed to do with private school teachers equally..!
